Harold Datek probably hadn't released you completely. To view running tasks go to start/run and type in msinfo32. Expand software environment and click on running tasks, services and startup programs to see what's running at the moment. You'll be surprised what's going on in the background. I use a program called Enditall to shutdown running programs when installing new ones. The more things that are running when you install a new app, the more likely something will go wrong.
