Gary, most everyone who has ever purchased an Apple sings the praises of their computer. And most of them are not compensated for their opinions.

"For crying out loud, Mossberg is still singing the praises of a Mac. Whenever someone asks him what kind of computer to buy, he always throws in something along the lines of "of course, Apple computers are a good choice, too". NOT! Perhaps the self-styled beatniks in the graphics dept of the WSJ have been bribing him with good ole ganja...."

Hardly a compelling argument you make here.

I've been using Macs since 1985, and have owned them since 1986. (At the time, I also had an IBM PC, Windows, and Microsoft Word.)

Today, I use two main Macs, a G4 desktop and a G3 iBook. I expect to be buying a Titanium Powerbook in the near future.

Mac vs. PC religious flamewars are even less useful than AMD vs. Intel religious flamewars, so I won't list the reasons I like Macs here in this forum.

But your "self-styled beatniks" argument is unconvincing.
