Yes. I think DSL is 15,000 feet or so. The closer the faster.

I can't make Alltel change. Cable will be available at that location by this April.

We have ADSL in the Erie location. We are about 1,000 ft fromt he switching station. I will test it next time I am up there. It is not nearly as fast as this connection but it is plenty fast. Likely close to your speed. I am going to lose some speed from here in April because they are going to open the cable to everyone. Currently, I am one of twelve test accounts sharing a T3 at the server. Kind of really spoiled. Soon I will one of many thousands. Ughh.
