Rafsanjani warned of the outbreak of World War III: "The confrontation of pious and martyrdom-seeking forces with the highest forces of colonialism is extremely dangerous, and might inflame a third world war." Ah yes? And how many divisions do the "pious and martyrdom-seeking forces" have? It seems to me that Rafsanjani has dangerously confused the democracies' reluctance to go to war with their inability to do so. As did Osama bin Laden.

Rafsanjani said that Muslims must surround colonialism and force them [the colonialists] to see whether Israel is beneficial to them or not. If one day, he said, the world of Islam comes to possess the weapons currently in Israel's possession [meaning nuclear weapons] - on that day this method of global arrogance would come to a dead end. This, he said, is because the use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam. Are these people really this stupid? Do they really think the west will just let them have nukes other than one or two they might be able to steal or buy on the black market? And if they did somehow use one on Israel the west would just let them just be damaged for a while then the world would be theirs? I think they need to stop putting those turbans on their heads. The combination of the turban and the desert heat must be over-heating their brains. <G>
