However, when an SLR-type situation comes along, and if it looks like a good R/R, I will take a calculated risk (recall that SLR tanked rather badly for a few days, selling slowed way down, and then it bounced twice off its 52-week low in an improving market, so I decided the R/R was worth it). Looking back, SLR at below $10 was a good R/R play. Honestly, I don't know HAL very well, but I looked at bigcharts.com and had a look. Thanks for mentioning it. Again, I am not a great chart reader, but it sits below the 20 and 50-day SMA currently and near the lower end of the Bollinger band. Looking at the last few days momentum and money flow, the former still has been getting worse each day, although money flow improved on Friday. CONCLUSION - I am going to watch it and the indicators for sure, and if they look better in an improving market it may be a nice trade, although I wouldn't buy it for my long term portfolio. PS- Here is some analyst info (take with a grain of salt but still worth knowing what they are saying publicly, imho): 1/4/2002 A.G. Edwards Hold <from>Strong Buy On continued overhang of existing and future asbestos litigation 12/13/2001 Merrill Lynch L-T Buy <from>L-T Strong Buy Thinks very negative asbestos news already priced into stock but recent large jury awards could severely damage co.'s financial strength over longer term if awards become benchmark for claimants with serious illness from asbestos exposure
