As for the Enron workers, apparently it is even worse for some. Front page story today about Enron employee that has cancer and needs operation. Operation was scheduled...but seems it had to be cancelled. And just why? Seems that Enron big wheels were to busy making sure top executives were getting huge bonus payments and couldn't see to the fact that the paper work was done to allow fired employees to extend their insurance coverage under the COBRA plan. So now those that have been laid off, retirement funds depleted but CEO gets millions, now they don't have any insurance.
So for all you anti-government freaks,
run it by me one more time that government should let executives be free of government oversight. After giving me your explanation...let me schedule you to be the guest speaker at the next Former Enron Employee Gathering. I'm sure they would like your spin story...

Nice to see you using your noggin, but, it is just class profiling. One rich guy is bad, so they are all bad.

Did you reallllllly look at the links? I DON'T think so, or you would have seen that the upper middle income folks pay a substantial amount of the taxes...and also if you took EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR FROM THE VERY WEALTHY, the total monies WOULDN'T amount to even a FEW DAYS in the US Budget or US Spending!!!

And then where would you be??? Where would the Dems be???? It's about time the Republicans start telling it like it is.....so even the weakest Democrat light bulb can get it....

PS Enron is a mess, but if you go to opensecrets.org, you will see that Enron, and the employees of Enron (all levels) gave money to BOTH the Dem and Repub parties...LOTS to the Dems as well....
