Rolatzi, this dope should read levy.org see figure 7 to see what happens when capital gains/losses are included in the " savings rate" . Counting on the real estate bubble is balderdash as well. In the 1988-91 time frame I would say homes in my hood declined 20% from the peak in 87 . Since 93 homes in my hood are up 80% - bubble territory - more than a few of my neighbors are in the financial ( dis)service industry. i expect to see quite a few for sale signs over the next few years. mike
