Two steps forward, one step backward. Benny Morris' great contribution to this field was his historical research, especially of Israeli archives. It appears that his Jewish chauvinism has overcome his scholarly instinct, and so he has been reduced to feverishly waving the Israeli pom-poms. Nevertheless, we are all indebted to the facts he previously uncovered.

It appears to be quite feasible to allow the return of the Palestinians who were expelled before and after the 1948 war, much more so than Israel has been letting on:
