Petz, Re: My near-death experience.

That must have been four horrible weeks for you. Thanks for sharing this with us. It's good to be reminded that there are more important things in life than stock quotes or message board discussions. I am glad that you are back and hope that you will continue to post on this thread.

Best wishes, Andreas

I sure want to be in the group that think John Petzinger is very important for this thread. Thanks you for sharing what you had to live recently.

Sometimes we simply stop receiving news from people we use to read at least monthly if not daily. We received some signs of life from DRBES lately...

Your SD (San Diego as I always thought) coverage has always been seen as an in deep scrutiny of the market from a precursor region. I have close relatives living in SD so it interest me even more.

Take it easy now ... would you.

Gottfried

Dear John:

I was misdiagnosed as faking sickness when really, I had a burst appendix. I was 9 at the time and in 3rd grade. The doctors told my parents that I was a couple hours from dying when they rushed me into Milwaukee Children's Hospital a week before Easter in 1968. I spent 30 days in the hospital with 14 of them with a tube up my nose and no food or water allowed. Easter that year was miserable but, my parents did not tell me how close I came to dying during my stay there.

Once I was informed, I thought they should have sued that quack who misdiagnosed me. It would have raised my family from lower middle class at the time. However, I now believe that just being alive is enough! Hope you make a full recovery as well!

Pete

John Re...My near-death experience. I was just released from the hospital yesterday, having had surgery on December 11. It all started with a sore throat, mis-diagnosed as non-strep in early December. By time I got to the ER and then to emergency surgery, the infection was so huge that they found a liter of puss around my heart.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Congratulations on your sucessful operation. While I got a new knee for X-mas, your gift trumps mine easily. Speedy recovery and best wishes.

Harry

PS While you may have a newfound appreciation for religion, I hope that doesn't mean you can't give Intel hell once in awhile.

Petz, We had no idea that you walked through the valley of death, and His rod and His staff comforted and sustained you and delivered you to be among us again.

John,

Glad you are back! My newborn baby girl just came back from NICU after 12 weeks and two surgeries. So I can echo every thing you have said about life and God. Money and everything else is so trivial when life is on the line. Thank God. Be grateful of those who help us. And life is really good:~)

Good luck and best wish to you.
