Actually, historical values would have made Intel look better, however both CAPEX and Depreciation are rising which appears to be kosher.

What I noticed regarding my numbers was this, in FY98 and FY99, CAPEX remained relatively constant. We must wait and hear what Intel chooses to do regarding CAPEX. Additionally, remember that during 98-01 I think Intel has built fabs bringing additional capacity on line and the upgrades have let them efficiently produce uPs. Therefore, while Depreciation exp. is rising, so is output. As long as output rises faster than their Depreciation exp., Depreciation Costs per uP will decline.
