i run blackice defender (bid), zonealarm free (zaf) and norton internet security (nis). i think zaf is doing the best job, but nis can also be configured to stop outgoing as well as incoming. i now have nis showing all stealth by itself on gibson's site. bid i just seem to keep around for old time's sake. <g3> it was the first firewall i installed. i love zaf's ability to shut down the net connection with one click. nis has climbed the ladder of firewall respectability very quickly. plus the suite contains ad-blocking and browser privacy features that appeal to me. btw, i won't use outlook or outlook express because of their vulnerability. i use netscape's messenger email client. i have never ever heard or read of a single virus being launched or carried via messenger. quite impressive, really, and a bit puzzling to me. but i like it. :) mark
