"I thought he said "by the end of this year", not "Who The Hell Knows When......""

Well, I did state that I held either company sticking to their announced roadmaps as a dubious proposition. As many on this board gleefully pointed out, AMD did not introduce a mobile 1.3GHz in Q401, just like they didn't introduce a XP model 2000+ in Q401. Now it may be that the mobile 1.3GHz will be announced Monday along with the delayed XP 2000, but who knows?

As we all know, roadmaps are just their best guess, and delays happen for any number of reasons, up to and including they really just cannot make the damn things reliably. Or they actually can make them, but a "whoopsie" occurred. Now the latter seems to be more of a problem with chip sets,. Intel had several of those and AMD apparently did one with the USB on the 768 chip, processors seem to be tested a bit more.
