Grommit, thanks for SFI opinion. I've not yet made a decision to buy or pass on this one yet.

FLM: I've been a holder of FLM since before their big deal to be prime distributor to K-Mart for food. That deal has effectively aligned them to fortunes of KM - at least as far as KM stock price. That was good when KM stock was moving up last year, not so good now. Rather than hold all my FLM stock as it's dropped 50% from highs, I've sold some - hoping to buy it back at even lower prices. I presume FLM is not being pushed into survival mode with potential loss of its big customer (KM).

Now I am guessing (and betting) that KM stock might have greater rebound potential, although with perhaps greater risk, since its business survivability is being questioned.

ALD added after listening to call @23.20. Management defended well. Dividend looks solid @ 10% growing 10% per year. As economy improves, investment positions should get a bounce.

ALD: If the accounting is stinky and the values aren't real, the insiders will be voting with their feet [sometimes accompanied by a cover story]. ALD's insiders are heavy into it...including keeping recent option excercises: biz.yahoo.com
The chairman, for example, has 400K+ shares and has done no recent selling. Since ALD's a bit of a 'black box' due to considerable estimate discretion, I view this as a critical indicator of what's really happening.
