RE:"The AthWiper instability has become so widely known that most US manufacturers don't even sell AthWiper based PCs."

I did finally see a HP Athlon XP 1600+ box at Costco ($999). So they do exist.

At Sams club they had only 3 boxes.
A 1.3 Ghz Athlon (t-bird)
A 1.7 Ghz P4 w/SDRAM
And on the end cap they had a 1.3 Ghz Celeron w/monitor for $799. Not a bad deal.

BTW, does anyone know at what speed the Celeron has 256k L2 cache? Seems the Intel website doesn't even acknowledge any Celeron with 256k L2. Or at least I can't find it.
