Re:"THE STOCK PRICE IS THE SAME TODAY as it was In July of 1998, or 3 1/2 years ago
So one of these days, one fine day, trust me, Dell stock is going to go up."

After February speed bump.

Sig,

Re: "So I'm looking for Dell at $40 sometime between Jan 16 and the earnings report which is usually around Feb 10"

"I apologize to Kemble for grossly underestimating Dells potential stock price at $40. ($200 might be closer)"

As if a 38% rise to $40 in 25 trading days isn't enough, lets be bold and ask ourselves...why stop at $200? If we really want an e ticket ride in fantasy-land, lets say Dell to $250 with an analyst on that days close calling DELL to $1000 ala QCOM! Lets even throw in a few splits during the ride just for good measure.

While DELL has done all the things your mention, you forgot to include a list of EPS. Since FY 98 4Q it reads like this:
(undiluted based on common shares)

.89 .48 .55 .30 .34 .17 .20 .18 .17 .20 .22 .25 .18 .17 .16 .16 .16

If the WTC towers were still standing; if Al Queda were peace loving missionaries; If Sharon and Arafat became lovers; if Iraq flew American flags instead of burning them; if 15 year olds worried about their pimples instead of flying planes into buildings; if madame Hillary wasn't my senator; if Tom Daschle wasn't such as a$$hole....DELL still has to improve earnings. It's not just the shorts, the bears, the puts, the institutions holding back DELL's stock price.

I'm impressed with all you list regarding DELL's growth but what impresses me the most is their prime time network advertising of the DELL Enterprise division. They'll continue to kick a$$ on the PC/notebook front, but if they succeed in their higher end server/storage products, then watch out!!

Prilosec will soothe any onion-induced dyspepsia ;)

Cheers,
Kaka
