No, Reagan was not effective for America as far as policy and the economy. He was highly successful as a motivator and cheerleader, for that I give him great credit. During Reagan's term the disparity between poor and rich widened substantially. Of course Hitler was a great motivator and cheerleader as he marched Germany into fascism and created a world at war and murdered millions.
