More of the "everybody does it" spin.

The point of the article was not about pork, it was about harming the environment at the benefit of business. The mantra of the left, supported and condoned by Daschle.

You better come clean quick on you claim Bush is lying. Put up, or apologize.

Armey: Daschle is the Dem's 'Eddie Haskel'

Retiring House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Tx) opened up both barrels Friday afternoon on Senate Majority Tom Daschle hours after Daschle used a high profile speech to blame the Bush tax cuts for the recession, comparing the top Democrat to "Leave it to Beaver" TV troublemaker Eddie Haskel.

Armey criticized Daschle for not allowing Democrats to close a deal on a White House backed stimulus package, telling WABC Radio's Sean Hannity, "As far as I'm concerned he sabotaged any effort, any opportunity for a tax package."

Then the Republican leader added:

"The thing that kind of bothers me is his little angelic look about this feigning of sincerity. You know, it's like Eddie Haskel got elected to the Senate."

Baby boomers remember Ken Osmond's Haskel character as the teenage nemesis of "Leave it to Beaver" star Jerry Mathers, who he called "squirt" and tried to lead astray until Beaver's mom showed up, whereupon Haskel immediately transformed himself into the perfect gentleman.

Armey expanded on the Daschle-Haskel analogy, explaining, "One of the ironies was when (Daschle) started to sort of tick off his programs, his recommendations, essentially what you got was stuff that's passed the House, that he demonizes, that is blocked and held up in the Senate."

The exasperated House leader told Hannity:

"I'm sitting here looking at a guy who has blocked everything we've sent up there, whether it be an energy policy, whether it's been a tax stimulus package or whatever. And then he says we (Republicans) are the problem."

Armey described Daschle's charge that Bush caused the recession, "the politics of audacity," but predicted that the liberal media would let him get away with it.

"They know they will not be subjected to scrutiny by the press but that the press will by-and-large be their echo chamber," he said.

"I noticed the President was lying to the American public claiming that Daschle is asking for a tax increase. He didn't, what he did ask for was fiscal responsibilty and the proper kind of stimulus for the economy. But lying is OK from one side I guess."

What Lie...The tax cut is a done deal sign sealed and to be delivered over the next decade...If Daschle and his cronies want to decrease that it's a tax frickken hike. Over W's DEAD COLD BODY. Won't happen...W learned from Daddy.
