I find the most reliable data for trading is the time and sales from listed securities on the NYSE. Honestly, the data on the level II for NASDAQ is pretty much completely unreliable. i will have a level II with T&S if i'm trading a naz stock but i spend most of my time watching the order flow on the T&S window. The T&S has its problems on the NAZ b/c the reporting of trades is erratic.

the bottom line is...the smoothest and most reliable trading is on the NYSE. But alas, it's not glamorous and naz stocks give you those 5 point moves, so most people gravitate to the system that is the least favorable for success.

hope that helps,
