Bad idea. If it's done in the US, it's a violation of the 8th Amendment. If it's done in a foreign country, it can be argued that they are POWs and it's a violation of the Geneva Convention.

Someone think otherwise? If it can be done in the US, the next extension would be to domestic terrorists. Then, say, serial killers. Then you can throw that amendment away.

Foreign country? Well, if it's OK for the US to torture POWs, why would it not be OK for other countries to torture US POWs?
