KT, Cousin Dupree is about trying to make it with your cousin ... he gets put down in the last verse. <g> I agree it's the best song on the album, but unlike you, I wasn't all that impressed with the rest. I find there's a certain sameness to the songs, the same disappointment I had with Fagen's last solo effort, Kamakiriad. That one did grow on me a bit, but neither are in the category of The Nightfly or Gaucho, imo ... 'course, that's what makes a market. <g>
