You can't deny(well, maybe you can) that Saudi has one of the most repressive regimes in the world. Why should the most powerful democracy in the world support this regime? BTW, I never said our government was "sponsoring terrorism", but they may be turning a blind eye to some of the Saudi activities due to financial interests there.
Also, I would like to see our government support oil conservation(by financial incentives to consumers etc.) so that we become less dependent on this area for our energy needs.
That, coupled with more drilling domestically would help us to avoid more U.S. military personnel being killed in conflicts in the Middle East. BTW, I work in the oil industry, so lower oil prices caused by conservation might negatively affect me financially.
