the interesting thing there is that the 1877 crisis was
20 years from the start of that 23 year bull market
(1857 - 1880), and the steel crisis and the Cuban missile
crisis in 1962 were also 20 years after the 1942 start
of a 23 year bull run (1942 - 1965)

the 9/11 crisis is 19 years after the 1982 start of the bull market

1878 to 1880 and 1963 to 1965 were extremely strong years

now I'd like to find some demographic data or otherwise
try to correlate the three time periods
