Truckers other cost increases in areas such as insurance have probably more than offset the price declines in fuel (also, many truckers probably had residual "fuel surcharges" in effect which, after a lag, are decreased as contracts come up for renewal). tim

hey Earlie, happy new year! a few observations from NYC, one maybe relevant, one just amusing: 1) cabs are much easier to catch thursday and friday nights, when a year ago you could walk around for 20 minutes in some parts of town and not get an available cab now much more vacant ones driving around 2) one of the cable companies that carries CNBS (RCN) is showing a commercial for Club VIP, an upscale tittie bar, all day long every day (wonder if GE knows about this -g-). So far time warner, the other cable co. here, is running different commercials during the same breaks.
