300 horses for a Honda Odyssey?

I checked the site and they say 240 hp from a 3.5 liter V-6, which is 40 more than any Accord and pretty peppy, nonetheless.

Had an 82 Accord for 13 years that got 29 mpg like clockwork. A timing belt and water pump and pre-combustion cylinder job were the only repairs. Over 150K and still running good, I loaned it to my sister and a wreck cut short it's useful life. It still ran fine but cost of repairs were out of reason.

Torsional stiffness on the VW makes it a better drivers car but the ride will likely be a bit harsher than the Honda or Camry. Hondas and Camrys are stolen more than most cars, maybe an extra item to throw into the choice.

Rutgers, glad you are enjoying this thread.

It seems I'm getting much more tips on car buying than about buying stocks <g>

Odyssey, you'll love it, roomy, quiet, power, all is there.
Only problem is even after 2 years on the market, you'll probably still have to pay few hundred dollars OVER MSRP.

On leasing, I never leased a car before.
When I buy a car, I usually drive for 10 years so buying was my only option. But if you want to drive for few years and get new ones, leasing may not be a bad idea.

Why pay $335 for a leasing service?

You should shop around in internet first.
No haggle no hassle.
If you know exactly what you want, you can do it yourself.
I find it VERY simple and got great price through internet.
You should pay the leasing service only if they can give you better price, which i doubt...
