A number of Hungarian acquaintances of mine claim that their ancestors migrated from Siberia in the region coursed by the rivers Lena, Amur and Yenesi, and that in the course of their westward migration, a segment of them veered northward into what is now Finland. They pointed out there are similarities in the Hungarian and Finnish languages. John Keegstra taught that the Jews were originally Mongol-Turks! Some folks in the USA believe that the Indians of North America were descended from the lost tribe of Israel. There is a community of Africans on the east African coast that claim they were direct descendants of Chinese sailors that sailed there under the command of the much celebrated Chinese Admiral Cheng He in the early 1400s. Surely DNA tests will verify their claim. Archaelogists have discovered human artifacts and regions of high radioactivity in the Gobi Desert. Some believe that an advanced civilization had once flourished there and that it was later nuked into oblivion. If true, this is a lesson for us moderns.
