Well, you overlooked the economic strategy he and Greenspan forged in the beginning of his term and he stuck to it and it worked big time. But most folks are stuck on the mindless mud slinging of that time.

rich and roger - History will record it was Democrats who were the party of fiscal responsibility and balanced budgets during the 90s and it was the Republicans under Reagan who both Bush's who abandoned fiscal responsibility and ran up huge budget deficits. This will be an important issue in about 10 years when the boomers retire in record numbers. The boomers will discover to their dismay that the Republicans squandered their retirement.
