Well, I believe we are drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. As for the places you mention that aren't in America, I don't get it. How can Congress legislate approval to drill in South America?

Um, interesting, I didn't realize that south america was part of North America. You have a novel way of looking at geography. What do you mean by offshore Maritimes? BTW, the Gulf of Mexico is already heavily explored, especially offshore Texas and Louisiana. However, there is currently not nearly enough oil produced in North America to support the economy of North America. We import over 50% of the oil used in the USA.
