One cannot make an analysis of the state of the economy based on one's personal fortunes. During the Depression, for example, people with jobs had a great time, apart from insecurity. Prices fell further than wages, and their buying power therefore increased.....

I believe we were promised a tax break by Bush in 2000 and we actually received one. We were promised a middle class tax break by Clinton in 1992, but guess what? We never did get it.In fact, high income people had a retroactive tax increase. It's a pity we can't have retroactive votes!
