re:"Look it, I don't believe we have an energy crisis. If we did gas would be a whole lot more expensive. Why destroy wilderness when there's a dearth of oil in the world"

No problem, as long as you are willing to continue to pay the price (militarily) to get it.

RE: I don't believe we have an energy crisis.

Who said we did, but importing about 60% of our oil puts us in a very vulnerable position and helps to put us in conflicts in the Middle East. Actually, for self interest reasons, I would love to see $3 a gallon oil, because then I would be making money hand over fist :-) Of course, the rest of the economy would be struggling.

I view the Alaska a play as a move that favors GWB business supporters.

I agree wholeheartedly. Oil is much cheaper from the Saudis and Iraq than Bush's guys. Besides those Madrasssas who train the terrorist who blow up innocent men, women and children and teach hate of the West and especially of Americans would have to go the United Nations for financial support. I just love watching those little five year olds banging their heads on the Koran as their Mullah chants "kill the Infidel Americans".. I'm with you ET. Stick with it.

Regards Ken
