Last month I saw a nice four function calculator in a blister pack in a hardware store listed @ $2.95, long ago these were well in excess of $100. Not saying we'll see cell phones in blister packs going for that price, but the trend is in that direction and this is another step in that direction, IMO.

But, I'll bet there are at least 33x ($100/$2.95) as many calculators sold at $2.95. Plus, what if you could invest in the company that got paid a royalty on all the latest calculators and supplied the chip for most of them?

I agree completely that *eventually* ASPs will come down.
But that wasn't the point. What I was writing about was the
suggestion that the radioOne Zero IF announcement was the
reason for the recent stock price decline due to implicit,
imminent, significant shrinking of ASPs. I respectfully
disagree.
I don't believe radioOne Zero IF means imminent,
significant shrinking of ASPs. Nor do I believe that
announcement is the reason for the stock price.
I was simply offering a different, positive slant on the
same article, FWIW.
