Thanks Matt and tc for responding.

Someone PM'd me with a few paths to look down. I also spoke to someone at radio shack today who told me I would probably need a ISA card as you have suggested. They might be hard to come by, maybe even cost a bit of a premium and would probably be really slow. The radio shack guy suggested that the most bang for the minimum buck might be to make my 486 a true door stopper and to just buy an old pentium on ebay or something if i just want to use it for the kids.
