<<We should take a survey. How many RWE's own dogs?>>

I don't have one worth feeding. 3 saved dogs and 4 saved cats. Toss in 3 horses and here is a bunch in my living room.

I have 2.

After my last great lab died, a yellow named, get this, Yeller, a customer of mine who is a guide in ND con's me into believing that I need a shorthair since I also like to hunt upland. I get this female from his stock that turns out to be A: no hunting instinct, B: gun shy and C: Retarded. Mike tells me that he guarantee's his dog's and that I should bring her back for a replacement. I know this to mean that he is going to hit her in the head with a shovel and give me a new dog.

I decline.

I now have another great lab in Shadow, a 2 yo Black Lab. The old school lab with the curls across the top of his back, low to the ground and as wide in the front shoulders as a sled dog. Great hunter.

Dilemma: Kate feels she must go with when Shadow and I go hunting.

Result: I now have a front seat passenger when in the truck and she watch's us walk away to hunt from the window of the truck.

I must be a moron:)

Don't know who owns who, but we have some dogs who cohabitate with us. We're down to 3, just lost a couple old timers, one of whose ashes resides in a box on a shelf. He was great, a shepherd/lab mix, my best pal.

The newest member of the tribe got here because I saw him get hit on an expressway. I put him in my van and took him to a vet, not thinking I'd actually take him in, but here he is. He was on thin ice for awhile, he wanted to fight everyone in sight. The patience paid off, he turned from being a mean bastard into a very cool dog. Its amazing how they change when you shower em with love and affection.
