Don't you know that the "A" in ASP stands for average? It doesn't matter that AMD sells a CPU for >$300 if that CPU only represents a fraction of 1% of their total sales. Lowering their prices at this point means their ASPs going back below $75, like when they posted that huge loss of theirs for the third quarter.
