Alex,
Try adding the log on names you use on the 98 PCs to
your Users list in the Control Panel of the W2K PC. You'll
also need to put in passwords. The 1st time you try to
access the W2K PCs from the 98 PCs you'll be asked for the
password.

You didn't by any chance install W2000 in NTFS? Can't see NTFS from a FAT32 OS.
