Frank,

I saw that show on CNBC and agree that it was not bad for a stock market cheerleading station. It showed so many eras, events, and ups and downs in the stock market, but I doubt that many viewers noticed its cyclical nature... that 15 or 20 good years tend to end in a mania to be followed by 15 or 20 years of depression, or recession, or stagflation, and sideways/down market action. IMHO, that is the most important thing to understand about the stock market, but of course CNBC couldn't say anything about that... it would cost their sponsors dearly for the investing public to be aware of which part of the cycle we're in now.
