You seem to forget AMD's 180nm Part 2000+ is beating a 2Ghz NW with twice as much L2 cache and it's beating it quite well. Only at 2.2Ghz is it on par with AMD's 180nm part. I don't think you give AMD's design the credit it truly deserves.

Milo, NW is now in high volume production. AMD's XP2000+ is little more than a paper launch. All major OEMs are offering NW and none are offering the XP2000+. The fact that AMD managed to get a few lab pieces out the door to compete with NW is not going to change things. AMD will no longer be able to pick up the scraps left behind by Intel's capacity constraint. AMD must now compete with the only real weapon it has, pricing. You know what that means....
