Intel Corporation introduced a 1.40 GHz version of its Intel® Pentium® III server processor with 512 kilobytes of L2 cache. Tony, that can't be true... "everyone knows" you can't clock a P3 past 1.0GHz... ;-)

The big OEMs are hanging in there with Intel for servers. No reason not to. I don't see it on pricewatch. This is just a paper launch by Intel & Compaq, Dell, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hewlett Packard, IBM and NEC. EP
