Yes, Zaffire was bought by Centerpoint for shares with
no quantity or value disclosed, as far as I know.

MRVC owned something lke 20% of Zaffire and so owns a
chunk of Centerpoint as a result.

DWDM and FDM: let's be careful. Yes, FDM can work at multiple wavelengths, even the exact same ones DWDM works at. The problem is (as I understand it) FDM networks (which are at their heart analog signals) need slightly more power at the photodetector-end than conventional digital networks. They also "like" their EDFAs operating slightly differently, and spaced differently. So (analog) FDM-DWDM usually works in one fiber, and (conventional OOK) Digital-DWDM in another, with separate EDFAs "tuned up" for the signals in each. There may be slight differences in the passive DWDM components too.
