<I always wondered about that stress event test: isn't it different for everyone? And wouldn't the facts surrounding the event matter? >

Of course. I remember our headmaster at high school calling psychologists 'trick cyclists'. Like a lot of things, there's plenty of truth in it, but people are rather amorphous so the pyschologists have trouble pinning down things like the mind, intelligence, stress, and all that.

Every instant everywhere is different and unique and every person interacting with those instants is different and unique and never the same afterwards.

So there is no way to model it. Predictions are very rough approximations. We wade our way through with a DNA program which has developed in similar situations over eons and software which has developed over our lifetime in approximately similar situations. For tomorrow, we take a guess and include our DNA hard-wiring and software memories and thinking. If we are lucky, we are about right.

It's an impossible situation to be in, but we are in it. Then, at the end, if we dodge comets, lions, armies, disease, famine and financial ruin, we lose anyway because our stupid telomeres run out of go. GAME OVER>

But somehow, it's a lot of fun playing dodgems and shoving rocks uphill and teaching children and grandchildren how to roll rocks and dodge bullets. I've kept an eye out for a trapdoor to another world where all is peace, light, harmony, health and happiness, but it seems we have to create that right here in the cauldron, inside a universe-size black hole. That'll keep us busy. The odds are stacked against us, 999999999999999999999999999999:1
