Pat, I couldn't have said it better. I posted a couple links today on the smut line about Volcker's suggestions and McCains comments on the economy and taxes, two Republicans who are against what the Administration is doing.

My conservative Republican friends here expect everything for nothin.' In sum, as long as they have plenty of money, and they can avoid paying for anything, they are happy. A good example is my friend's mother who is in a nursing home in California. They are worried that her care will drain her estate so they were trying to find ways to take the money out of her estate and put her on welfare. I don't know if they succeeded. I avoid them as much as possible.
