I've got a stack of 'em you can have, but shipping costs are probably more expensive than their replacement cost.

After a couple of years waiting for Alltel to deploy DSL in my neck 'o the woods, Time Warner beat 'em to it, so as of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a 2mb cable modem that appears to run around 650k. Beats the eff out of 56k dialup though, especially when four peeps are sharing the connection. I added a Linksys wireless router/switch/firewall, and I'm now free to sit poolside with the laptop and enjoy high bandwidth. Life is good!

In re the ADI news, didn't the old USR use TI (TXN) chipsets exclusively? Or, was that just in 56k POTS modems?
