Fed would do well to announce something like...

"In the summer or autumn of this year, depending upon economic recovery data, the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates 100 basis points over two FOMC meetings, and then adopt a wait and see attitude. For insurance purposes, rates have been kept extra low in recent months after the NYCity attacks and deflationary forces in Asia. We announce this intention in order to promote stability in the equity markets and financial institutions."

it will never happen
but such hikes are extremely likely
they might happen later in the year though
like October
