COMPX looks to me like it's trying to round up here in the daily. Don't know about cup and handle.

I think so John. A teeny cup and handle on the daily. But the handle needs to dip a bit more, it just started.

There are also bullish descending wedges on the NDX and the COMPX that have been forming for a while.

It would be the diabolical move, just when everyone thinks it's breaking down <G>

Litwick says that the SPX had a Three Outside Down candlestick reversal tonight after that bearish engulfing they listed last night.

Could be meaningless though, although it's a high probability reversal, I cannot tell you the stocks I've seen on their list with that pattern breakout to the upside the next day because they are oversold <G>

I dunno John, I expect the handle will be awfully short-lived. And I expect the next breakout to be short-lived too. Probably not a true cup and handle.

I don't like to think of indexes putting in a cup and handle. Rather, I like to think that the indexes are placing some stocks in the position to fulfill the pattern. And I'm not even intimating that the stocks which will succeed are even in the index. I'm not implying anything. Just that there is a setup which could provide some signals on some stocks. On the other hand, I think the setup stinks! I don't like the outrageous pump priming with the lousy business environment, job losses out the wazoo and low VIX. Anyway, I'm going to make a play on at least one of these setups. I will post if it happens. Anyone who follows me had better know how to take a loss should it become necessary. I will post if I exit the position too.
