It is just barely arguable that we indirectly supported Bin Laden "against the Russians" but it is absolutely false that we supported the Taliban "against the Russians". The Taliban did not exist while the Russians were in Afganistan. Hence your position was demolished. You then pretended you didn't say "against the Russians". Gao apparently missed "against the Russians". I didn't. My "perception" of your position exactly agreed with your statement of your position. Deal with it.
