I believe that SONS will survive. They are perhaps a little overvalued right now, but they are positioned well for the telecom systems upgrades. There is a reason that LU and NT have crashed as they have, there is a move away from the class 4 and class 5 switches that make up the core of the traditional circuit switched voice network. SONS is positioned to pick up some of this business. I do feel that eventually they will be acquired.

As far as how much of a difference that one guy will make and what SONS role will be in the future....I wouldn't buy into the hype too much. I am bullish, but they ain't gonna be the next microsoft. Cisco is at least as well positioned they are and Cisco has a much deeper and more diverse product portfolio.
