"KICKING ASS" This is a broad, general, colloqial term used to describe the influence of the Guru on the life of the egoic individual. For example, when you become a devotee, you change your diet, progressively, from whatever it is to (for the most part) a vegetarian diet. You also stop smoking, drinking and using recreational drugs. You engage physical exercise, study and meditation on a daily basis. And so on. All these elements (which are, in my experience very benign)are however, interpreted by the ego as INTERFERENCE in its life. Perhaps this gives you some sense of the superficial levels of involvement which fall into the category of "kicking ass". Namaste! Jim
