INTC is a great co. and AMD is striving to be the same. Why is it that there are these constant antagonistic sides here all the time. So negative its irritating and disturbing. Is it a case of ego's trying to out do each other and show who is the alpha male of the intellects here? I think this group is a bunch of really really bright guys who are wasting an awful lot of time and we are all the less for it. Maybe its all in fun and this is the best way to evoke knowledge?

Here.... Come sit down my son..... And I shall impart the wisdom of the SI to you.......

It is........ the way it is..... Because it is....... If the threads were made of simply of boring informational monotone post after post after post....... You wouldn't come here. You could get that anywhere.

But here you also get the SI Soap Opera, with a cast of characters more interesting than anything in the entertainment world. Admit it...... You see a post from P.E., and don't you anticipate something a bit more than just a News Link????? And you read them, don't you.

I know.... It's kinda like seeing an accident on the road. You know you shouldn't stare, you feel a twinge of guilt for it, but you just can't help yourself. Besides, it looks like you paid for the right to post. Admit it....... You're hooked.

:-)

roger, it's fun for me plus some of the people around here and the AMD thread evaluate the two companies' earnings better than most analysts out there and if you can filter through some of the "fun" stuff then you can make some money. You just have to cut through the FUD and the cheerleading.
