I'll admit that I skimmed most of the article, but I did not find a single mention of the launch date for USIIIi. Is Sun so far behind that they are still unwilling to commit to a launch date? Also, targeting 550 SpecINT for their highest performance processor will put them quite a bit behind McKinley.
