Just had a too much coffee vision about what it is to watch the market's swings. We are watching the breathing of an elephant (or whatever..). It inhales new capital and circulates it through the economy. The short term swings are nothing but regular breathing cycles.. and if the patient runs to exertion the market keels over and hyperventilates trying to recover an oxygen debt. Anyway, coffee's almost done and needs to be put into the microwave again..

Jim:

Don't expect Greenspan to retire until the Economy is officially out of recession. Three triggers for a sell off in the future (I'm guessing 9 to 18 months out, its way to early to know) are one, rates rise, two, liquidity is taken out and three AG's retirement (or illness/death, he is getting up there in age).
