Best Buy gives 2003 guidance (BBY)
Best Buy (BBY) gave initial guidance for its fiscal 2003 results of earnings growth of 18 to 21 percent. The company said same-store results are expected to rise 'in the low single digits.' The electronics retailer said total sales should grow by 17 to 20 percent in fiscal 2003. Sales will be boosted by new stores openings and the addition of Future Shop. Best Buy cited sales growth in TVs, digital cameras, camcorders and DVD hardware; also gaming hardware and software and improved sales of appliances. Shares of Best Buy rose 92 cents to $74.76 on Tuesday.

alright- so what are we doing this morning? gee look at this- everythings gapping up.. What a shocker! whats driving THIS move? Did someone say business is stabilizing? or did someone cut another 5k workers and announce their quarter will be a bit better than expected because of this?
